Keto Chili Recipe
Ingredients For Chili:
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20) [0g net carbs, 28g fat, 20g protein per 4 oz]
- 1 medium onion, diced [10g net carbs]
- 1 bell pepper, diced [6g net carbs]
- 3 cloves garlic, minced [1g net carbs]
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes [7g net carbs]
- 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste [20g net carbs]
- 2 cups beef broth [0g net carbs]
- 1 tbsp chili powder [1g net carbs]
- 1 tsp ground cumin [1g net carbs]
- 1 tsp paprika [1g net carbs]
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: shredded cheese and sour cream for topping [1-2g net carbs for ¼ cup cheese, 1g net carbs for 2 tbsp sour cream]
Keto Chili Instructions:
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain the excess fat.
- Add the diced onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the pot with the beef. Cook until the vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, and paprika. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and let it cook for about 1-2 hours, stirring occasionally. The longer it cooks, the better the flavors will meld together.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed. Serve hot with optional toppings like shredded cheese and sour cream.
